White Stars

Is there such a thing as a white star cockerel and does anybody know where I could get one?

I think you'll find that the White stars are crossed from a white Leghorn, as they lay white eggs??  Amberlinks and all the other similar names are the cross between a Light Sussex cockerel and a Rhode Island Red hen

However White Stars are still a hybrid, and although you may occasionally get a cockerel as I do with our Amberlinks, if you mate one with a white star hen, the chicks probably won't be true to type.  You'll get chicks that look that their Mum, their Dad, or even the 'other bits' that the scientists breed into them for various reasons

Thanks for the reply, yes I have some white star hens along with black rocks, copper marans and legbars, think they will make for an interesting cross.
