My Edzell Blue that I have stored in my hessian sack inside a shed are chitting Are they supposed to ?

Hi Nash, with the mild weather the spuds will want to sprout. If it cools down to about 4 degrees celcius then that would keep them dormant. The fact yours have started though will mean you will just have to eat them faster

Hi Nash. Luckily my Maris Peer aren't chitting, but I will keep a look out. However, I have been considering Edzell Blue for next year - what do you think of them?

Hi Plum, the variety were a heavy cropper and tasty as a boiler, they had beautiful fluro purple colour after scraping which went during the cooking stage, only negative part would be the shape with lots of crannies they took a bit of time to peel !
