We are very proud of our hard work and thought we'd show you a snapshot of what we've done
We took on our plot in April '08 and it looked like a disused meadow, about three feet tall with god knows what weeds.
We promptly had it ploughed by a local farmer which burried the weeds about three feet down i think and brought some lovely soil up, unfortunately this left furrows about a foot tall. We then did some serious rotovating with a big industrial jobbie and managed to get a beautiful rich flat soil surface which looked an absolute dream. (I've lost the photos unfortunately of this part, much to my dismay).
In March of this year we faced a similar prospect due to a very uncomfortable pregnancy but managed to get it looking like this with some more hard weeding and rotovating.
We then had a bit of a lazy summer to be honest (but with good crops) and decided that enoughs enough we are getting cracking. My partners brother and my partner ( I have an injury to my back now after an RTA in June :-( ) then laid into it and with some serious sweat and determination managed to gain the follwing results to which we raise a glass frequently
Just though we'd let you see it as we love it now. Its not finished yet with a fence to go up where the yellow line is on the left of the pic and a fruit cage and polytunnel up where the green house is. One we do the next phase we will update the photos
