This year when planting out the first few sowings of lettuce I liberally mulched the whole planting area with saved and dried out coffee grounds as someone said it would help. The vast majority made it to maturity unslugged. Later plantings when I couldn't be bothered (yeah, serves me right) were hit by the usual levels of slugmunch.
Since read in all sorts of places that it does or doesnt work, with the weight seeming to be on the doesnt side. Ho hum, must have been blind luck then. But..... I am deffo going to use coffee grounds again all round the plot next year and see if the more I use the luckier I may get!
