George seems to be recovering well from his double hernia op, despite the swellings
He's on light duties at the moment, weeding ready for the big greenhouse on rails annual move!
I invited him to my plot for lunch last week, our resident Chinese have been plying me with large containers of home made noodle jobs, chow mein, etc, in exchange for my shark fin melons (another thread). So it was wok on my camp stove and a bag of crackers.
Whilst out shopping at a certain supermarket I came across jars of curry for 9p, so immediately thought of George. He's now stocked up the shed with a quids worth! I'll not be sharing as George has strange views on hygiene!

Must take more pics!

Yes, please continue The Sage of George. I'm only surprised the BBC hasn't picked up on it yet  :D

I'm a newbie to this site and have just read through all the post's. What a wonderful saga. Hope George is continuing to improve. Please keep updating the site, it's very entertaining.

George has had a stiff talking to from his doctor! He showed a guy how to stack and move greenhouse glass, and then proceeded to help him carry the frame! ;)
As I left tonight at 5pm I noticed his van had just arrived. I didn't stop to chat as the topic of conversation would have been sad; we've lost a plotter, a steam engine driver! :( A pristine plot for someone!

Just come back from the plots, just to check the toms, too cold and windy to stay this morning.
If we get a decent day this week I'll use my new camera and put up a you tube video of George's domain.
He's looking for sponsors at the moment to abseil down this, again.....

Fantastic. The greenhouse on rails!  The compost steriliser!  And the man himself!!!  :D

Thank you so much.

Your own plot looks great, too - great cane-holding device in your polytunnel.  And I LOVE your talking scarecrow, hee hee!
