Forgot to mention I'm having an open house, or at least open shed and polytunnel tomorrow as I can then draw my pension. George is coming on the bus so he can sample the scotch and not drive, he's always wittering about sloppy ham at funerals, so I've got some real ham off the bone from the best place in town to cheer him up! :D

I figure you and the lads on your site have got "life" sussed... :D :D
I used to work in a helium gas factory, but I walked out, no one talks to me like that.

As Al Murray would say we've got wine for the ladies too. One of them is making a cake!

George made quite an impression on my Jack Daniels, and the ham off the bone went down a treat! :)

That's George on the left.

Oh i think George's shed is lovely and his friends too. I like the idea of pink with a mural how uplifting to see something so cheery when you come to the allotments. Mine is painted a lovely bright green which caused mixed reactions but i say each to their own and if you find something offensive don't look at it !! Anymore recyclers out there ? When i get round to it i will post piccies of my allotment and everything is recycled apart from a garden spade which i bought even the plants are what others have thrown away the seeds swapped for my excess and anything i don't need i tend to swap. In a world of such waste i find it uplifting i also have a bootle of Jamesons stashed in my shed lovely with coffee on a cold brisk morning....

How is George's shed doing these days?

He's pretty busy at the moment! All his outside growing areas have been weeded out and the big greenhouses prepared for his usual crop of the best on the plots tomatoes! :D
The tomato compost has been through his "soil steriliser" and nutrients added.
The polytunnel re-covering has gone well, complete with "inner sanctum" and it's now ready to produce prize blooms! 8)
He's had me checking the fishmongers for polystyrene fish boxes; he half buries them in the greenhouses and fills them with recycled compost, as he says they retain heat.
The shed still requires a bit more work  but may have to wait until back end now!

George has the furthest on tomato plants on the plots, but he's multi tasking between the garden and installing the sheds facillities, The oven and hob is all neatly fixed in, working, and a large polystyrene cool cupboard is being, er, invented! :D
We're thinking about a St. George's day plot celebration, and he wants to cook a rhubarb crumble in his oven
Problem is everyone knows George's ideas on hygiene leave something to be desired!

Tested the oven today, sausage rolls!
Fortunately he didn't attempt the rabbit someone brought for him!

Don't do it George, think of the gas you'd use!

More shed work!
Some (free) material has materialised, so George has had to start work on a hither to unexplored part of the shed (the east wing). So it's loft boarding time! :D
The kitchen (the west wing) is pretty much fully functional and egg and chips were produced the other day, with his neighbour, Dave supervising! ???

I'm only amazed that he doesn't lose his balance and fall in those skinny pathways. I know I would. Just looking at that obstacle course makes me dizzy  :D

He may be in his seventies, but George could negotiate those obstacles on the apex of a roof, and I've seen him do it!
