There are various lotions and potions now available for scaly leg mites, I am currently using a spray on treatment called 'just for scaly legs' (made by Net-Tex available now in pet shops and other agri type shops), I think Barrier also do a spray. Or the vasaline method, but you have to do that daily. Other guys on here have recommended johnson mite lotion available in pet shops although that is not licensed for poultry. You can also consult a vet who may be able to recommend a suitable treatment. Best to treat all your birds even if there are no obvious signs, not sure about the chicks though you may need to seek more advice on them!

hello, i`ve used burdock + chickweed cream on mine, (health shops usually have it, very good for ecema too), took about 2-3 weeks of putting it on twice a day, but it worked really well.
someone keeps stealing time when i`m not looking.

If you're not averse to using Frontline, I believe that does the trick, too.

(not licensed for poultry)
two daughters, nine hens, two goldfish, three cats ...

There was a thread about this a week or so ago. I've used WD40 spray to good effect, but some posters were unhappy about this. Many use vaseline. Since then I've come across people using surgical spirit and coconut oil. The latter looks good as it is harder than vaseline and so shouldn't pick up so much dirt.

hi, i`ve used it on psoriasis (is that how you spell it?), and really hard dry skin on my hubby`s hands, so i figured it would be worth giving it a go,

sorry, meant to also say, i gently masaged it right into the scales, the full length of her legs, + between toes and everything, then left hen on my lap for a couple of mins so that it could soak in a bit, + to check there were no big blobs that i`d not rubbed in, x
