why i feel the need to get yet more hens. i was satisfied by the 2 i first got (for about a week) then got 2 more, OH put his foot down but we still got 2 more after i promised that would be it - now i want another 2.  im happy with just the one dog, love her dearly but dont feel the urge to go and get more! why are hens so adictive?

OMG michelle! id better not tell my husband! - Actually he's just found the auction catalogue which ive marked! his reaction wasnt tooo bad, but he's worried theyll be sleeping on our bed before too long (like the dog does)

i know wot you mean, i try and figure out wot it is that is actually so addictive about them, i think its more than the egg collecting.  Space limits me, but we are hoping to move next yr.   I would love to have some more space for a few more chooks.  nickyx

I know what you mean. I am itching to get another 2 but after the bad experience I had with the 3 we got earlier I am a bit apprehensive.

There is just something about these creatures that captivates you. When I first had mine it was for the eggs more than anything but now I have grown very fond of those funny creatures.   :happy: :happy:

i'm addicted to! I've only been keeping hens since 2nd september and 4 was enough then.  I progressed to 5 within a fortnight and how am awaiting collection of another 2! I'm crazy!!!

update - OH spotted qurantine run set up in garden tonite & asked wot it was out for - i said for new hens im getting at weekend! he said we dont need any new hens im taking the ones weve got to the auction as they dont lay enough eggs !
