all my PSB, sprouts and winter cabbages seem to be covered in a grey powdery type film and what looks like some sort of aphids.....slightly green in colour.....
what is it and can I spray them with something--anything ---to save my winter vedge?

Sounds like mealy cabbage aphid (guessing without a picture  )

I used dilute washing up liquid in a spray, as it cut through their waxy coating and did the trick.

Hope this helps  :D

It is a bit of a cure-all on our plot -- and the children can use it on their own  ;)

My PSB in the front garden has a strange grey type thing on it, sounds like the same.
Thanks for the hint!
