One of my ladies seems to be sneezing and has been for a day or so, just had a look this morning and i think she has a runny nose as well (wasn't sure if she'd just had a drink though)

Had look a look on the internet and seems that chickens get colds just like we do  and various suggestions seem to be either Citricidal or Colloidal in their drinking water ... anyone got any advice or opinions on this?

Forgot to say ... hen is looking healthy, eating and laying and strutting around the garden

No, they don't get the same type of colds as we do !

They symptoms you describe would point towards a Mycoplasma infection.

always best to get them on a course of baytril from the vets for something like that, best nip it in the bud if you think she has a runny nose, are there any little bubbles coming from eyes.   nickyx

no nothing from the eyes, and her nose seems fine now  think it may have just been wet ... not really sure.  But since I posted she hasn't been sneezing so not sure if I'm over reacting or what  ......... confused
