Having just come back from the lotty, I am undecided whether to harvest my squash or leave them in the hope they will continue to grow. They are no larger than 6" long. will they grow any more? or will I risk them rotting with the wet weather ?

I'm further north than you and face a similar dilemma.

I had one which was starting to turn riper so have harvested it so that any frosts don't get it.  I left the others on the plan as they're about the same size as yours and are still green.  I'm not sure whether they would ripen at all at home from that state, so figured they could take their chances for another week or so on the plot.

We'll see whether the gamble pays off!
