pretty much. thing is they come up year after year and you don't have the germination problems that you do with spring onions. another name is perpetual onions or scallions. they form bunches. bloke on my site has loads and divides them every so often.

maybe a little milder but at least you'll be tasting something as opposed to nothing... i sowed 400 white lisbon and about 10 came up.
