Elderberry and Rosehip Cordial/Syrup?...

I was already planning to do Rosehip Cordial this year as I've got about 4lbs of rosa rugosa hips in my freezer. Someone gave me a load of elderberries which are also in there. I've been reading about the health powers of Elderberry Cordial, great for preventing colds/coughs apparently. As rosehips are so high in vitamin C do you think I could do a mixed recipe, say 50% rosehips and 50% elderberries? Just wondered if anyone had ever done this and what it tasted like?

Rosehip is lovely, I wouldn't want to mix it woth anything strong to mask the flavour. It can be a little sweet so I tend to add a little lemon juice or citric acid to cut that a little.
