Chilli pepper are perennials but will not tolerate frost or cold temperatures so you can over winter them in a warm green house or on a windowsill (depending on the size of course), you are supposed to cut back about a third of the plant at the end of production and hopefully next year you will be rewarded with loads more fiery hot peppers
