There hain’t no words bad enough to describe sprouts , but Worzel loves them.

Ok who’s donating their sprouts for ‘the’ meal and more importantly have they put them on to boil yet? :nowink:

Boil? Not for me, thank you.  Thin sliced on a mandolin and stir-fried (either with butter, or Chinese-style) until they soften and barely start to brown, then yes please!

My brother introduced me to them cooked a little like this - fried off with bacon and, I think some white wine added, then pinenuts added at the end. I usually have a ceremonial two sprouts on the Day, but make an exception for this  :)
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...

Stir fried with bacon and chopped chestnuts is how I also cook them and the only way I really like them. I'm with Yorkie in that I'll have two boiled ones, if I really have to have them.

The red cabbage has been cooking for the last two hours with apple and some spices, the rest of the cabbage has been pickled ( I only bought a half).  I also bought a half white cabbage which will be coleslaw.   Thank goodness for farm shops on our route home.

Can we have some numbers please so that I know how many I  am cooking for - breakfast  is  croissants or bagals, scrambled egg, smoked salmon, horseradish sauce and cream cheese.  MoS has mentioned that if she 'perfects' her Pannetonne, we will have some of that as well.  Please add your name to the list on the cupboard  door.

I've made some cheese straws today together with  a  new desert, an advocat and  passion fruit ice cream 'box'.
It's  in the freezer, it serves 10 so first come first served.

I'm not making anything else.  I'm trying to collect an assortment of tasty morsels for EVERYBODY but if someone is going to keep 'guzzling' them and not leaving any for anybody else, I'm giving up.  You'll have to cater for yourselves from now on.  >:(

You should now have no need of that rouge on your cheeks as you have been found out as a greedy         person.  I've spoken to the Crowman, expect a visit.  I've crossed y our name off the list on the cupboard as yo u've already had your share.  I did have a few more recipes I wanted to experiment with.
