In the UK the "cuckoo" feathered maran is just that, in addition they have designed a marans based hybrid which is called a cou cou maran. Somewhat confusing!

I cant quite see from your pictures ginger! but what type of comb have they got? if they have a normal one (1 row of spikes running down the middle) i would agree a cuckoo maran but if they have a rose comb (wider with no defined spikes just sort of lumpy) then they are wyandottes here is a pic of my silver laced wyandotte with her rose comb

I tried to get a clear pic of her comb but the only way I can get her to stay vaguely in one place is with food  and of course she's then bobbing her head around like mad 
The comb is definitely not flat.
