OMG - that's just awful Parsnip.

Thank you so much for posting the warning photos.  I've heard it's bad and have got a bit on the fringes which I never had time to deal with.  Seems it's more urgent since I've seen that.

Blimey only this morning I was pondering whether to give it a try on the plot next year. After reading this thread there is not a chance now, the Mrs will have to carry on buying what little she needs to accompany the Sunday roast.

I knew it was prolific but.....wow.

I have only had two plants (both young-uns) to contend with that keep sprouting up.

I dug down as far as I can go with a spade and took as much out as possible.  I will make sure that my rotovator goes nowhere near it !!!!

I bought some roots in the garden centre in the Spring and planted them in a large pot. Zippo :(

I presume a pot would be safe?

and if so is there some kind soul who would let me have a couple of roots? Happy to pay postage.

I'm sure you'll get a lot of offers, Kristen, but if you don't I've got a patch that I've been trying to dig out for 4 years now.

I've other things on this weekend, then off on hols for 2 weeks, so I may need reminding if you don't get an offer from Parsnip. Sorry - I mean anyone else! :tongue2:
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?
