If anyone can, you can. You have a good track record with making them better. :)

Fingers crossed.

does anyone know how much medicated water i should give her? the vet just said she'll drink how much she needs and get the correct amount that way, only she can't drink by herself so we're using a syringe, i'm worried that i may not be giving her enough/too much, it's all getting very stressful and i don't do stress..............

Hi, have googled baycox and it states the following:-

One ml of Baycox® 2.5% oral solution contains 25 mg of the active ingredient toltrazuril. Chickens and turkeys are dosed at 7 mg toltrazuril per kg body weight for 2 consecutive days.

so I assume you need to work out the amount per weight but it doesn't seem to be very much at all.
Hopefully somebody better at maths may be able to help - or ring your vet in the morning TMG. Joyxx

Sorry mine were on coxoid for 7 days! not sure about baycox! but i would say that if the dose is in the water 1 ml every 1 - 2 hours wouldnt be over doing it!

she can't drink by herself, we've popped her in a small box with scrunched up kitchen roll to keep her upright (the same box we used for Raffles) left loose she just thrashes around unable to control herself, it's very distressing to watch, i hope she makes it or i'll feel we left her to suffer needlessly :(

You are doing your best and that is all anybody can do. Just keep syringing the medicated water in as often as you think she may need a drink. joyxx

just syringe her what you think a chook her age would drink normally as this is how she would dose herself if she could drink!
I didnt know how much to give my baby as the coxoid was 7ml to 1125ml of water so i just put 1ml down her every hour during the day but not the night! as normally she would be a sleep and not drinking!
