I'm waiting for someone to try the curry.  Not me can't stand the stuff, I know I am alone in the world on that one, just about manage Tikka.
My 15 year old son said "I'll try the sauce, you know I'll eat anything....erm it's a funny colour; does it glow in the dark?" (It doesn't - we checked). He decided to stick with home cooking.

Maybe spread the sauce round the plot to keep the cats out ?

Morrisons do their own toxic brew for a whopping 12p but as I dont have a Sainsburys near me will fork out the extra!

Many thanks to OP for the tip its going to save a fortune, although I do worry about causing an environmental incident by pouring it down the drain!

A friend who is on a very short budget came round and we did a deal - her family will eat the sauce (apparently they really like it,'cos it tastes just like the packet curries) :tongue2: and she'll give me the jars back afterwards. Seems fair to me...

Well I've done the deed I bought 2 of the last 3 jars of sauce at the local SM. I had to try a spoonful just to see how bad it was.

Ignoring the day glow colour - to be honest it tastes very much like the curry sauce you used to get from the chippy, just with far more water in it.  I wouldn't waste a nice bit of chicken or any meat with it - but i'll try pouring it over some left over roasted veg, certainly worth the 4pence.

It will cost more to wash the jar than the it did to buy it...

A good tip someone told me for getting rid of pickle smells from jar lids is to pour a little vanilla essence into each lid and leave it to soak for a bit.  I tried this to get rid of the last lingering smell after I'd used bicarb and washed the lids a few times, and it seems to have worked really well.

I bought Morrisons version it didnt taste too bad tbh but then I looked at the label - if you have just a quarter of the pot it would constitute 30% of your daily salt allowance!

Great jars tho

OH has just had his Morrisons 12p curry.  He said, its not a pucker curry but its not bad, but it is more hot than flavoured hot.
