What age should the chicks be when I take the clocky away? They are in a separate house and run away from the main flock, there are three of them so will have a fair degree of central heating if they all sleep together in the nest, which I assume they will continue to do

My broodies both got fed up with their chicks at around 6 weeks old

My broody is still looking after her chicks at 6 weeks but they are back with the rest of the flock.

Don't bellow Rough - it is northern parlance for broody. Sorry.

If I put them all back in with the main flock will the chicks be okay in a un-roofed run at this age? concerned about cats and sparrowhawks primarily.

I would not put em with t'others till theyre 10th week but that is just me.
