Strawberry growth
« on: May 03, 2007, 11:12 »
About two weeks ago I put some strawberry runners into my allotment (Cambridge Late Pine and Flamenco), but am a bit concerned as they don't really appear to be developing. They're not really any different from when I received them although a couple of flowers have appeared.

Do runners get off to a slow start? How much growth should I be expecting from them? Thanks.

feed them with sulphate of ammonia and potash sulphate or growmore . water well . dont get it on the leaves  keep free from weeds and they will come good // water every other day only  as folks is tempted to over water all plants in hot conditions  such as we have and all that does is water log the ground around em and rot sets in and other beasties thrive
still alive /............

Thanks for the words of wisdom, I thought they might benefit from a bit of feeding. Will top them up this weekend and have some patience!
