I know , but this is mad? They have been wormed for nearly a week and they STILL have them    This can't be normal can it?  I gave they some live yoghurt yesterday to help as well!

And is there somewhere they're picing up worms from ?   SLugs maybe ??

Definatly live but some are fat worms?
They lurve slugs, snails, flies, ect and they free range now more than ever!

tbh I don't know where they get worms from.  ::)

I'm sure they could reinfect quite easily despite being treated. I've never had them but our chooks don't technically free range.

I hope you can get rid soon. Must be rotten for them.

There's some good info on here which may be of some use

Sounds very difficult to prevent. Routine treatment seems to be the best way forward.

We need pictures Sam !

Flat worms could be tape worms.

Flubenvet is not active against tape worms at the usual dose.  You need to give a double dose.  How are you administering it ?

How are you giving the flubenvet on pellets or on a treat to each hen ?

Which formulation are you using ?

This is quite useful, goes into a lot of detail regarding the types of worms that can infect our poultry plus the lifecycle.

Make sure you are not about to sit down to spaggetti!!!!  :D :D

Aunty I have been putting it on their pellets in a morning.
I am going to show my complete ignorance now and say the girls worms look nothing like that
Having had a good inspection they actually look more like maggots    Not sure what is worse?? They are only very tiny so I assumed as i've never seen worms in chickens that thats how they started.

My chickens are healthy and their combs are lovely and red.  Eggs off everyone again today and none are moping or anything.

Fies laying eggs on the poops perhaps ?  We must have a picture  ::)

If you add flubenvet to their pellets then they should recieve NO other food - just the pellets.  They will not get a full dose if the are eating other things as well as the dosed pellets.
