:) hi everyone, i have planted from seed a number of p. spinach, they are now about 2" long but look so pathetic!,they are very floppy. i have grown them indoors, then put them in a plastic greenhouse and for the last week or so they have been hardening off. as i've never grown these before are the p. spinach seedlings usually weak? and what would you all recommend i do? many thanx deb

I put mine in straight inot the ground last year and they were fine.  Dug up some thinnings and gave them to friends who potted them and them transferred them to their allotment and they were fine.  not sure what to do with yours tho, sorry!

I planted spinach in a shallow tray in the greenhouse and thought they looked a bit iffy to begin with.  Then gradually stronger leaves grew from the centre and they look normal now and we've been picking a leaf from each growth.   I've never had much success growing spinach in outdoor soil and in this dry weather you'd be forever watering them to stop them getting stressed and running to seed.
