Depends how quickly you're going to be shot after eating it, assuming it's very quickly and my intestines wouldn't have a chance to decide they were allergic and make me ill I would have;

Chinese, of any sort!  A chip butty!  Profiteroles!  Dutch apple pie!  Treacle tart!  French apple tart!  A kitkat!  And freshly baked still warm proper bread with a nice big dollop of best butter on it, oh what heaven!

Now you're talking!!

I'd go for a huge plate of fried onions in proper lard, bacon & eggs (the sort of bacon that doesn't leave water and white residule in the pan - dry cured smoked?), chips and fried liver and a slice or two of black pudding, more fried onions, fried bread, bubble & squeak and a mug of hot strong tea and bread & loads of butter and toast and.... and I wouldn't need to worry about indigestion if my time was up only something I might have missed....sauces?? and a lump of beetroot and some freshly picked uncooked tomatoes (bambino or gardeners delight) and salt....followed by toast and thick cut marmalade.... as well as a glass of freshly squeezed grapefruit or orange to combat the fat content... Skip the fresh fruit juice.....

I'm so pleased it's not "your last breakfast".... I never eat it - too early in the morning for food  :tongue2:

You can tell we both come from the same part of the world  :)

If only I could persuade my wife that she likes fried liver too - the cholestrol content isn't that worrying.... Is it?

How many Last, last suppers can we have?  ;)

I couldn't eat three courses - that's a whole day's food for me.  :nowink:

I'll just stick with a big bowl of root vegetable broth with lentils and pearl barley in a decent stock and a mug of herbal tea thanks.

How about that with Banoffee Pie on the side - after the fry-up.

If it's a last supper I might not be around long enough to reach for the indigestion tablets!

Or might the combinations and quantities be the reason for it being the Last Supper??

depending on my mood it could be different things   but today, right now

starter - chicken liver pate with toast and real butter (let the toast go cold first)

main course - roast lamb, gravy, mint sauce, roast spuds (proper crispy ones) runner beans, carrots, broad beans, roast parsnips, peas, red cabbage, brussels, mashed peppery swede, roast onions and a bit of my mums suet crust

dessert - melting choc puds, (two of em if i am going to cark it) cooked to perfection, oozy in the middle with a whole pot of clotted cream

and if they didnt shoot me after all that i would probably gas myself

hungry now  ???
just keep breathing................

What's peppery mashed swede?  Only way I've ever found I like swede is with orange in which is weird because I normally can't stand things with orange in, unless it's duck!

Peppery mashed swede? It's a must!! I could have that too with my fired liver, onions, bacon, black-pudding and..........

Never mind waiting until the last supper.... I think some of us ought to be having a go at most of this now just in case we don't know when the last supper is booked for!!

Knowing my luck I might miss it  ::)

I like mashed Swede mixed with mashed carrots - add a knob or two of butter - sprinkle with ground black pepper and stick in the oven in an oven-proof dish while the roast is finishing off (with the BNS nestling along side the joint in the roast pan)..... I'm having this with the fry up too!

Gee ta but the lady is vegan (except when she sees a Twix or the odd scone and butter and jam from the vegetarian cafe ).

Even if it's the last meal, there's only so much I can actually eat no matter what the pressure.

OK then - I'll have a Twix then and a can of diet coke! Just for the fun of it.
