Tomcot and stella

Hi

I am taking the plunge and buying an apricot tree (Tomcot) and cherry (Stella) tree, can anyone offer any words of wisdom regarding how's best to keep them.

They are both going to be planted against a fence and either espalier trained or fanned.

Any helpful advise appreciated.

Thank you for that i hadnt thought about needing to stake them but its goods to know the rootstocks of the trees i have selected are the right ones.
