Do broody hens stop laying? Or is it just coincidence that mine are just sitting and not laying?

Broody hens wont lay The longer you leave them sitting the longer it'll be till you get eggs again 

I keep moving mine they get a bit cross but it does work eventually

to be honest the only time they do sit is when im not there as when im pottering about the garden (which is quite a lot) they are on the move. they have been like this for nearly two weeks though, is this a normal amount of time?

Normal broodies are reluctant to leave the nest for anything

Some broodies that i use for hatching eggs have to be physically lifted off the nest for a loo break and food

Sounds to me like yours is having a very half hearted attempt, is it possible for you to shut the door to stop them going back in

yes i can shut the door to keep them out, this should be funny to watch them trying to break in instead of the usual breaking out lol.
