They've finally realised that a cabbage hanging in the air is the same as the cabbage on the ground and are eating it.  Only took a week.

Although they can show flashes of intelligence, they like to keep it well hidden in case someone pinches their minds 

Unfortunately, they do know the difference between corn and layers pellets when you throw some in to try and distract them. The heads turn, but they don't run.

I hung up a Cd to stop the wild birds nicking food and i'd read that hens like to peck at them, i had to move it as they thought it was going to kill them
    Its funny how they can be suspicious of things, even if you give them a different food to try they think i've laced it with arsenic
