Coli looking like a toilete brush?

Hi guys

Most of my coli is looking like a toliet brush head, it looks all bristally? its my first year growing so not sure whats going wrong?

Sounds like it's running to seed, should have been harvested sooner, but I understand from another thread that you've been out of action.

They're still edible, but don't look as good.

Some of the colis have only been in a short while and only have coli the size of a golf ball on doing this and then alsosome fully grown ones?

Sounds like they've bolted.

Caulis prefer cooler weather & loads of water.

I tend to grow them in the earlier part of the year only.
