Raspberries and Netting

Hi All,

I am intending to get some raspberries and was wondering if I need to net them, i was going to make a fruit cage but a lot of guys on the lotty have not netted the rasps and they seem to be doing well?

I've gat a large row of autumn raspberries that are now going full pelt. Birds don't touch them, they're too busy eating my other stuff!

The blackbirds are enjoying my autumn rasps rather too well for my liking - so I've had to net them I'm afraid. I was the first to net mine & you can see that the birds are moving down the lottie field as each progressive row of rasps are netted to keep the blighters off.
