Hi Chili
Here in Folkestone 'Wyevale' garden center have ALL seeds reduced to 50p !!
These include the top names like Thompson & Morgan and also includes Beans!
Wilkinsons also I think.
Buy for next year now.
Allotment Gardener.
Kent.

Next years seed delivery arrived today and the rep has an appointment to clear the old ones out and set up the new ones next week.  This might be why your shop's shelves were empty. We were advised to take down the 'you can still plant' poster today as well.

Same in Leicester -  bought a load of seed packets costing £2.99 with use by dates of 2011 for 50p each  :)  :)
All these moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain.

I too have bought seeds fro the Real Seed Company and can thoroughly recommend them. They give good service and advice and have a very interesting selection of unusual varieties. All are non-hybrid so you can save them from year to year if you wish.  Well worth taking a look at their site as listed in the post above.

Chilli - I've also used and been happy with Premier Seeds on eBay...unfussy, plain packs, but cheap, lots of variety, and 99p postage for any order. Good online growing details on their shop too which you can print off.

I have used Alan Romans which is exceptionally cheap, about 50p per pack.  They come in just the foil wrapper with the sowing instructions online so I guess that keeps the cost down.

I have also used Real Seeds and they are great too with lots of advice.

I use moreveg.co.uk - silly prices, sensible quantities of seeds per packet and their customer service is exceptional - bought quite a bit from them this year and no germination problems whatsoever - highly recommended!
