Hi have posted hello before, thanks everyone for making me feel so welcome. quick question, hope thats ok
My 4 bantam pekins are 20 wks and free range in the afternoons, this evening one has made a little nest in the corner of the garden! is she gonna lay her first egg? do they lay in the evenings? should i pop her in the nesting box or leave her where she is?  just before she was very wandery and came and sat on my hubbys lap, also she crouches when u go up to her?
Am getting eggcited now!!!!

ooh just went out to check if she had gone to bed and found 1 very small, but very perfect egg,  hooray so exciting, kids are over the moon

My girlies usually lay in the morning but every now and then we have an afternoon early evening egg.
