[The Norfolk Turkey]

4 months ago, I spent a day building raised beds for our debut in the world of gyo. Weve plundered books, websites (thanks folks!) and green fingered friends for info and tips.
  Weve pricked out carrots (yes, I know now).
  Weve not hardened off corn (we know that now too).
  Weve had raab bolt (another lesson learned).
However:
  weve turned in 5 buckets of salad potatoes,
 :happy: been picking lettuce leaves for 10 weeks,
  had strawberries for pudding at least 3 times,
  are watching sprouts, pumpkins, peppers and aubergines coming along
  and (nicest of all) today watched our 5 year old pull a carrot the size of his head!! (Id post a pic, but it was eaten 5 mins later!) - who said you dont prick them out?! (no - before you ask, Im not doing it again!!)
Its not all been plain sailing, but its been good fun for all of us (our 1 year old has just planted our Christmas spuds!).
