What about the compost from grow bags used for tommy's that didnt suffer blight ?
Can that be put through the compost bin or can it go direct on the beds?

Either would be fine; mine go straight on the plot, but not where I'll be growing spuds or toms next year
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...

Ok ta. I think we might run it through the c-bin anyway - just in case.

No onion peelings!  Sours the compost.
When you find yourself agreeing with the consensus, it's time to get another life.

Hey, my wife gave me some dead geraniums and their growing compost, good job I checked, the compost was riddled with vine weevil grubs   even the heat of the compost bin wouldn't have killed those little rock stars

Never had a problem myself, they do stink a bit when rotting, but the compost is fine.

It's often advised not to put too much citrus stuff in your compost as it's quite acidic, but you will also find people who throw all their citrus stuff in without any apparent ill-effects.

I don't put any citrus into mine and that's probably a bit too careful  :)
