Eggs.. How do you know if the egg has a chick in it or not? Do you put all of them in to an incubator and see which ones hatch or is there another way of knowing?

You can't tell which are fertile at first. After a weeks incubation you can candle them (shine a bright torch through the shell) and see if there is any embryo development.
