another blight maybe
« on: August 06, 2009, 14:51 »
Hi a few of my tomatos have started to go brown and squigy at the top of the fruit where it hangs off the bush
Its not on all the fruit or even very many of the fruit but thought it best to find out before it gets any worse.
The leaves look ok, not going brown or wilted, is this blight or something else?

I have lost a few fruit like this, mostly of one variety in the greenhouse.  I think it is botrytis as I have had a few botrysis-y leaves.

I had a fright when one plant wilted completely.  I went to cut it down and discovered that the main stem had broken just above the soil level.  Phew!
