A courgette and a small handful of green beans for me... starting to get bored of the courgettes already and a glut of them seems to be taking hold of my veg rack! Guess my sister will be given some more shortly

Dug my first root of Pentland Javelin this morning. (I was very late planting and they didn't go in until mid-May).

20 very nicely formed egg sized spuds off the one root. This would be about 9 weeks growing time.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

More courgettes, had an unsuspecting new guy on the plot next door and managed to fob a few off on him.  Some nice french beans - Cobra, will try that variety again.  My very first tomato, hurrah!  Growing them outside so taking forever to ripen.  Spuds have been very disappointing this year for some reason, tried some heritage varities but next year I will stick with allotment favourites.  Loads of shallots, have pickled the small round ones and kept the banana ones for cooking.  I've also pickled a jar of beetroot.

Made some courgette bread.  Bit fiddly, but a very nice recipe if you're stuck for things to do with courgettes.

Nice few runner beans, 2 courgettes ::) a few blackberries and raspberries (enough for me!) and a green pepper made it home, but I was munching on baby peas on the plot!
If I'm not careful none will make it to full size :nowink:

A few more broad beans and a small baby summer cabbage. It's big enough for the two of us. :)
