Been picking Vivaldi spuds for a few weeks bit by bit but wanted to clear the last of the row to give the parsnips behind more room. 3 plants - 9lb of spuds. Will def grow these again, no scab despite sandy soil and they taste great.

Also 4 nice tennis ball size beetroots, one rather large lettuce and a bucket of weeds.

First courgette of the year (they were a bit slow to start).  A nice bit portion of peas, a few of the last strawberries, a globe artichoke.  I took up the last of the first earlies, but the yield wasn't that good after they were hit by frost.  Thinned the tubs of carrots, and have heaps of baby carrots to get through.  Some of the onions had gone over, so I dug those up and left them to dry out (maybe a bit early, not too sure).  Will have a nice stir fry with my artichoke tomorrow. :)

More first earlies cleared, replaced with a late potted squash and leeks.

A couple of Onions, to be replaced with a potted Kohl Rabi when it has formed a good rootball and been hardened off.  Onions will be replaced by more brassicas as I plant onions and brassicas in the same bed.

Corgettes and squashes coming up all over the place - not sick of them yet.

vivaldi pots, twinkle and balmoral peas, various lettuces, the first cucumbers, strawberries, carrots, onions, beets, spinach etc etc.

Have sold on bags of rocket, spinach and various baby leaves for 50p a freezer bag...a third of the price of my local co-op.

Incidentally, I did the square yard thing with all the salad stuff and it has been a raging sucess.

Today I picked snowpeas and some onions. Made a delicious chicken stir-fry.  Tomorrow going to pull up the last of the snowpeas and broc. since temps are suppose to be in the high 90's.  Some of the peas are hard so I am going to save for seed to plant in late August.  Herbs are starting to bolt too.
