We had extra large runner beans and so thought we would put some outside and test the weather and see what we can get, are we brave or silly, we know we shouldnt really put them out but they would have been useless soon as they were so big already.

I think if you have got plenty then give it a go..no with all this global warming and climate change I would just have a go who knows you may
get an extra early bumper crop!

like someone says if youve plenty then why not?,we were scorned upon by a old man at the plot as our peas are in and thriving, but these days with climate change things may be a couple of weeks earlier :)

I have been so tempted to stick things in my allotment as it is looking rather bare at the moment and the greenhouse is packed full of beans/broc/etc waiting to go out... but it just isn't worth it just yet...

Mine are in... if a late frost gets them then I will just put some direct into ground.
I have had 12 in since 2 weeks ago and another 12 just gone in... no frost forecast for another 7 days so they will be safe for a while.

I have planted out two courgettes, that were given to me, as they are forming flowers, so I thought what the heck, and planted them today, in large tubes that are half in and half out of the ground so the roots will stay warm, and have covered in fleece, just in case, it will be interesting to see if they survive.

Well, due to a 'mistake' (see blooper thread) we've had some in for nearly three weeks now...we've got the fleece handy and we keep an eye on the frost forecast and keep our fingers crossed.

Our peas are well up already and, because of the early sowing we get to fill in the gaps (caused by erratic germination) plenty early....still keeping an eye out for the frosts.

Last night was the warmest April night on record, or something....
