can I use any marigolds among my tomatoes to keep off the whitefly?

Don't know about whitefly but I am doing it decause I have a load of marigolds originally gown for carrots and I think they look nice!
You can take a horse to water....but a pencil must be lead!!
(No chemicals ......yet!)

Google turned this up ... obviously from an Amorican site

Tomatoes:
Basil repels flies and mosquitoes, improves growth and flavor.
Bee balm, chives and mint improve health and flavor.
Borage deters tomato worm, improves growth and flavor.
Dill, until mature, improves growth and health. Once mature, it stunts tomato growth.
Marigold deters nematodes.
Pot marigold deters tomato worm and general garden pests,
