Lot's of wind in nottingham today and it blew some of my sweet corn over.... 

I had alredy earthed then up by about 4-5"... ib just tied them all up to the fence/cains...

Any one else had problems with wind today?

i had excactly the same thing happen to me yesterday(tuesday) was only growing a dozen or so,just put canes around them with string all the way up for support they seem ok sar far

Ive had problems in North Lincs.  Only 2 out of 32 sunflowers survived, the wind snapped one in two to-day.  Was concerned about my sweetcorn, will stake up tomorrow if wind continues

Always use canes to support mine from about 18 inches high, thats in North Lincolnshire.

some of mine blew over last week. In some there were fresh tassels showing so I stripped back and got out the baby corn and it was very tasty; I might grow some for baby corn next year.

not sure if ive been lucky but its been windy here and ill i did was plant them out as deep as i dare and then later earthed them up and they seem fine there about 6 foot high
