Goose advice, please.

We are hoping to be in a position to order our geese soon, I have checked books and websites but would prefer the opinions of the experts here, please.   We would like to get a gander and 3 geese (two for mating possibilities and one to raise ready for Christmas dinner).  The gander and his 2 wives for eggs next year and raising geese in the future for eating.  Would we be better getting Embden or Toulouse geese?

PS Personally I blame Moco and Vember for the fact that I am pushing the Gaffer to get geese soon.

I've no experience of the Toulouse I'm afraid apart from reading that they are more prone to neck problems And dropped tongue if dewlapped variety

My girls are Embden crosses and are fantastic layers, I had 1 every other day from end of Jan to the end of june
