ive just got a pack of 6 seed potatoes maris peer,they also had pentland javelin and duke of york, £3 each         i intend to grow these in pots so when do i plant them and apart from the cold do they need any special treatment :) ive never grown them in winter before so any help gratefully recieved
if anyones interested they are from bennets hill garden centre near worcester
when im with my 9yr old she's the sensible one

I think you plant them in August.  Make sure they are protected from frost.  Don't know about any special treatment otherwise.

There have been quite a lot of Christmas spuds threads recently, Iain@JBA posted a useful bit of information, might be worth a search?
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...
