I love these extremely long legged insects with the strange oval body. They are in abundance now in my garden. Last night when out with a torch looking for slugs and snails on my raised bed I noticed one carrying something. On closer inspection it had a small slug in it's jaws. I was amazed and also very pleased that these small creatures are helping us.

Nature is wonderful !!!

Nature certainly is wonderful...... especially when it is working with you rather than the other way round.

Who invented slugs?

Must pigeons be so heavy that they snap the branches on my little plum tree?

Is potato blight really a necessity?

Nature is wonderful..... if only you can discover a really good reason for some of it and then learn to work with it / or around it!!
