Noisy chickens.

I have got 3 warren girls and they can be quite noisy. They like me to know that they are waiting for their breakfast, that they have laid an egg or that they can see a cat and are not happy about it. Thankfully my neighbours all sleep at the front of their houses so they don't hear them too early in the morning. They have commented on hearing them during the day but they do seem to send all their family and friends round to visit them so I guess they can't be too bothered.

Mine also have to see me in the morning, this morning I opened up the coop at 5am and they all stayed in (raining heavy) so filled their covered feeder and went back to bed. An hour later all five warrens were squarking away at the gate, shut up as soon as they saw me open the back door and trotted to the food to eat and off to perch - they then all stayed quiet

I now know that they have to see me before going back to sleep if I want to get any
