I've also had a couple of rogue non-cherry tomatoes which are now about 6 foot tall, and deffo not tumbling - well only if the main stem breaks  :(  so they're now all staked up while the rest happily tumble.

Also had a packet of free shirley poppy seeds, which were definately poppies (small & black)
Now have about 6 bush toms coming along nicely and 1 poppy in my flower bed

Can only think they're bird seeded or were in some compost,
I don't really want any more toms...........

Out of 2 types of upright tomato's  I planted one variety seem to be bush types and are all over the place.

So I need to tie one variety up and cage the other ones up

Are tomato's female?

They're hermaphrodite & self pollinating.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

I've had trouble as well, both with flowers that weren't the colour they were supposed to be (Fothergill's and T+m), and with some French beans that were described as pale yellow Kentucky Wonder Wax from Johnson's - er - I don't think so - they are medium green and not the shape depicted on the packet. Not had this trouble before and, in my book, it's not on.
I work very hard so don't expect me to think as well.

I too seem to have tomatoes which were labelled as suitable for hanging baskets (think they were Tumbling Toms as well) which are now nearly 3ft and still growing, they look very strange!  ???

I planted sweet peppers in pots this year, transplanted into a raised bed and I am harvesting french beans from them    I also planted six raspberry canes from a reputable garden centre last autumn...  goodness knows what they are >:(   they are not raspberries, that is for sure >:( >:( >:(

Yes, I think some pumpkins got mixed into my squash seeds as I now have vines all over the place instead of courgettes.

I occasionally get a packet of seed, which once germinated I find should have been marked "Emperor's new clothes seed".

I also gave some seedlings from the same packet to a friend and they came out even different. Wonder if the seeds were from cross pollenated plants.

I think i have to take the blame for my summer squash - bang in the middle of the patch of course - being a cucumber.

But how I got it mixed up defeats me!   :(  I write on the pot for heavens sake!!
