Yeah, I got 'em in abundance. Does anybody have a recommended course of action to eradicate these Radish loving nasties? :x

Any help would be gratefully received!

Use yellow or white sticky traps.   Or plant Chinese Southern Giant Mustard (Brassica juncea var. crispifolia) nearby 'cos they love that best of all.   Then you can trap them on that.

eat the radish now if big enough, water the radish to help them swell. spray with comfrey or nettle solution if the radish need to grow more before harvesting .

Flea beetle seems to thrive in dry conditions ! we had it on radish( and turnips) last year ,we only grew radish to mark the parsnip rows.
radish grows from seed very quick, if you really want a good crop cos you like it loads, then cover with fleece from sowing to harvest and water every day in dry weather.

Thanks! All ideas are welcome. I thought I'd have a nice bumper crop of Radish this year, but they've all been reduced to holy Radish now....

Little swines, been watering to try and keep 'em down, but there's thousands of the blighters....

Looks like a good gadget Aunt Sally more W Heath Robinson than Ikea, me thinks.  I guess it works then?
Touch wood - I've never been infected with the blighters.  Good luck on getting rid of them mullet.

I am, I am.  I'll bake you a cake.  All of my cake recipes use smoked garlic.

As soon as I saw the picture of the trolley-thing, I remembered seeing it in Lawrence Hills book (the one I have misplaced / lost   )

Thanks, Aunty

hee!   I love the flea trolley. Kind of like a tea trolley. But with fleas...

My rocket was devastated by the little boogers last year. I shall get the OH to make me a flea trolley this year for sure.  8)

I just cover the rows in fleece ...

... til they're up and bouncing and my rocket has been holeless for the last two seasons.  I use fleece successfully to stop carrot fly too.

Fleece is probably a simpler solution. I'm going to get some at lunchtime actually, to protect my strawberries and seedlings as the weather gets colder.

The trolley is definitely more fun though! ;)
