Hi, i have 12 beds 12ft. x 4ft. which i rotate yearly 4 for others 4 for brassicas 4 for roots, i space most of my greens 1ft. rows 4 across the bed for which i made a measure 4ft. long and divided into 6in. marks. Things i found didn't work in beds were spuds sprouts squashes and sweedes, so i have an area where i grow on the flat. One way i found did work with sprouts was to plant them down one side of the bed on the opposite side to the sun so you don't shade other crops in the bed, this worked well. I manure the 4 others beds every year that way the hole lot get manured every 3 years, brassicas follow others in ground previously manured and finally roots the next year in unmanured ground. I have found this system works very well. Wigwams can be placed for runners 4 canes across the bed 2ft. apart but allways at the non sunny end.
