some of my second early nadines appear to have blight, just posting for anyone else in the grimsby area.luckily the lady balfour maincrop seem to be standing up well, all i can do now is chop off the foliage and eat them.

Did you take  photo, lots of what's about at the mo isn't really blight

this is my first year growing veg... I have some spuds and they are flowering and look great....recently though I have noticed a few leaves going yellow round the edges of the upper leaves and black at the tip.....is this blight....if not what is it...and what should I be doing about it.

If they have flowered, it may just be natural die-back. The plants could just be coming to a natural end. Have you dug any of the spuds up? How do they look?

Have you had as dry a June and early July as we have in Sussex?

My second earlies - Charlotte are all dying back or have died back now. One had blackleg five or six weeks ago and had to go but the crop is generally good. First earlies Lady Krystl were very early and we are eating the last of them tonight - about seven weeks after the first and, so far, no blight.
This is after losing all outdoor tomatoes two years running to blight so I am a bit obsessive about inspecting for it (not that it does any good - when you can see it it is already too late).

So there may be no cause for alarm. If the tubers looks OK and you usually leave them in to dig when you want them rather than digging them all you may well be able to do that this year.
