Help, I am moving house in 3 weeks and I want to take some plants with me - with the knowlege of new buyer of course.

Can I just dig up my dhalias and put them in pots?  Should I cut some of the top growth?

Looking forward to your answers.

I don't know I'm afraid but hopefully others will be along soon.

Can I ask what the purpose of the poll is?  I don't understand the two options or what you are asking us to vote on.
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...

I did not mean it to be a poll , I wondered why it asked me for different options??!   I will try and delete it and start again.  Sorry

Poll axed

It's not an ideal time to move anything but I think you're right to cut some of the top growth off when you try to move them. All the leaves now will mean the plants will dry out a lot. So keep the pots well watered and plant them out in some good compost as quickly as you can. Then keep them watered until they establish.

Self-sufficient in rasberries and bindweed. Slug pellets can be handy.
