Lower leaves on Toms
« on: July 05, 2009, 12:38 »
Whats the collective opinion this year, leaves below the first truss off or on ?

Im playing catch up as I was late starting and Im eager to get my first fix. My efforts to speed things up so far seem to have done nothing but retard the plants further.

Growing outside on a sunny patio, just the usual varieties - sun gold, sun baby, ailsa crag & gardeners delight.

Definitely off.  It helps air circulate around the plants, thus helping avoid blight.
